Moreover, the stable delta trike configuration and low center of gravity make the TRIGO UP E extremely tip-resistant, even when cornering." On a "normal" upright bike, the rider's body weight rests on their arms, hands, and wrists. This is not the case with the TRIGO UP E. The recumbent design provides a high level of comfort on longer trips, even for riders with back problems. The wide Vario Comfort seat is particularly back-friendly.
Marec Hase says: "The seat pads can be individually repositioned at multiple sites on the cover. Additional comfort is provided by the optional headrest, which is also adjustable."
The height, width, and angle of the above-seat handlebars can be adjusted without tools to perfectly suit the rider's size and preferences – Easy Rider vibe included. Weighing in at a mere 30 kg (66 lbs), the TRIGO UP E is nevertheless able to carry up to 140 kg (309 lbs). Well-suited for use by multiple riders of various sizes: Both the height and angle of the recumbent seat can be adjusted, and its position is infinitely variable to suit riders between 1.40 and 2 m (4'''-6'7'') in height. Furthermore, this adjustment can be performed without tools and without having to shorten or lengthen the chain: The new rider can simply open the quick-release lever and slide the seat to the desired position.
Whereas the motor for the old TRIGO UP model was only available as a retrofittable accessory, every new TRIGO UP E comes equipped with a powerful motor: The Shimano Steps E5000 with a 504Wh battery provides plenty of support, even on steep climbs. Other standard features include fenders and a lighting system. The RACKTIME Basket Mount behind the seat holds a BASKIT bike basket with 23 liters of volume and a load capacity of 10 kg (22 lbs). The two small seat bags available as optional accessories can be mounted on the left and right sides of the seat for holding phones, keys, wallets, and other take-along items.
The TRIGO UP E can be purchased as a customized or pre-configured standard model. "A wide range of accessories is available for perfectly adapting every trike to the rider's personal preferences and needs," said Marec Hase. "The ROLLER RACK is mounted behind the seat for shopping or carrying luggage. It holds the water-repellent ROLLER BAG. With its integrated handle, the rack can also be removed and used as a handy pull- along shopping basket. There are also numerous accessories for adaptive and special needs cycling, including special pedals, crank shorteners, and pendulum pedals."
