Sunrise Medical acquires Made for Movement in neurorehab

Sunrise Medical expands its therapeutic care portfolio with the acquisition of Norwegian company Made for Movement. The specialist is recognized internationally for clinically validated neurorehabilitation devices that support children and adults with neurological conditions. With this step, Sunrise Medical strengthens its role in paediatric and adult rehabilitation care across Europe.

Sunrise Medical, headquartered in Malsch, Germany, announced the acquisition of Made for Movement, a Norwegian specialist in neurorehabilitation devices. Since its foundation in 1995, Made for Movement has gained international recognition for solutions that help individuals with cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, stroke, and other neurological conditions.

Its devices, including Innowalk, Innowalk Pro and NF-Walker, provide motor-assisted standing and robotic gait training. These systems support early and intensive therapy, enabling children and adults to achieve improved therapy outcomes and greater participation in everyday life.

Expansion into paediatric and adult rehabilitation

The acquisition enhances Sunrise Medical’s portfolio in paediatric rehabilitation solutions, which already includes the brands Leckey and Firefly. At the same time, the company gains broader access to adult care. Made for Movement contributes a clinically trained salesforce and long-term partnerships with clinicians, hospitals, rehabilitation centres, special schools, as well as therapists.

With offices in Germany, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom, Made for Movement’s presence complements Sunrise Medical’s global infrastructure and strengthens its role in the rehabilitation ecosystem.
