Düsseldorf, 31 May 2024 – From 25 to 28 September REHACARE 2024 will open its doors again to welcome experts, leading companies as well as a wide audience from throughout the world. This year the trade fair will again shine with its usual strong international presence of exhibiting companies attracting such prominent names as Ottobock, Sunrise Medical, Invacare, Meyra, Permobil, Etac, Rewalk and Paravan – to list but a few. Once again, all relevant international players of the assistive technology industry will be represented and ready to set fresh impulses, present innovations and establish valuable networks.
As a pioneering forum for progress and inclusion REHACARE 2024 brings together a unique community: people with disabilities, their families and carers as well as pivotal stakeholders – from political decision-makers and service providers to associations, manufacturers and specialist medical retailers. Together they will set political accents, promote contacts and experience how innovations revolutionise assistive aids design. A novelty this year is the participation of the German UNESCO Commission, which is driving barrier-free solutions in Germany.
From innovative mobility aids, nursing care and therapy offers to sports and leisure options for people with impairments – REHACARE flags up the versatile possibilities for leading a self-determined life.
New impulses for the medical supply and orthopedic technology sectors
In close cooperation with the trade magazine “Gesundheitsprofi” REHACARE will present the “Sanitätshaus 2030” programme of forums for the first time. This programme is tailored specifically to the needs of medical supply retailers and provides profound insights into new lines of business as well as effective upselling strategies for technology products and providing expert advice to customers.
“We are delighted to welcome the trade magazine “Gesundheitsprofi” as a new partner for the first time. As part of the “Sanitätshaus 2030” programme of forums we will jointly present innovative concepts and progressive marketing strategies for specialist retailers. Together with our proven partners such as the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, for example, DGUV – the German Statutory Accident Insurance, BAG SELBSTHILFE e.V – (Federal Working Group of Self-Help Organisations for People with Disabilities, Chronic Diseases and their Relatives), as well as rehaKIND (the children’s rehabilitation network) we strengthen our on-going commitment for an inclusive society,” explains Hannes Niemann, the Director of REHACARE.
Technology and sports as driving forces of inclusion
The Sport Center organised by BRSNW e.V. (the North Rhine-Westphalia Disabled and Rehabilitation Sports Association) will also invite visitors this year to experience inclusion by active participation in such sports as sailing, paragolfing, climbing and skiing.
Thrilling forums and interactive side events
The trade fair will also place special emphasis on technological innovations and best practices this year, thereby also providing a platform for knowledge transfer and dynamic discussions. In the PRODUCTS & NEWS @REHACARE area, which is coordinated by the digital guidebook magazine MOBITIPP, participants can look forward to practice-oriented workshops and short lectures as well as moderated panel discussions on such topics as adaptive fashion and customer advice in the health sector.
On Saturday, 28 September, a comprehensive programme will be presented with expert tips, therapy options and experience reports such as the session “Our Travel Highlights – Tips and Experiences from Two Travellers”, who will share their rail and air travel experiences.
