Five years ago, at the age of 20, he had a surfing accident in Chile.
He has been in a wheelchair ever since this momentous event.
Moritz is a national wheelchair rugby player and could be part of the Paralympic squad for the 2024 Games in Paris.
As an authentic speaker and professional presenter, he tries to bring people closer to his dynamic sport and his disability (quadriplegia, C7 complete) through touching talks, unique videos and informative social media posts.
In his podcast "Inklusiv UNS" together with the successful speaker Sabrina Lorenz, he explains inclusion, ableism and many other topics in an entertaining way.
This is one of the reasons why he is a supporter of the #GemeinsamfürInklusion campaign, because each of us is responsible for promoting inclusion as a small ambassador with small actions. Together, we include newly injured people, relatives, interested parties and people who have never had any contact with disability and/or chronic illness. In this way, we all work together to promote inclusion.
Moritz shows openly and honestly that such an accident brings with it difficulties - but also opportunities. And that for everyone!
In other words: potential that other people can also see, recognise and use for themselves in order to develop and learn personally.
